This "Dark Grunge" HD ink theme is intended to be used with the full black background (or any of the 6 included dark wallpapers) and to produce as few colors as possible - minimal style with clear white XXHDPI icons. Hopefully that will also save some battery. It also goes great with the new Android 4.4 KitKat Style.
Other icon-pack compatible launchers might also work, however, I could not test the theme on every single one of them. If you have problems please email arbeitsnenad@gmail.com with a short description and phone model.
